Important information for all tourists, chose Bulgaria as a holiday destination

Since 01.07.2021 to 31.07.2021, 3 (three) color zones have been introduced – green, orange and red for tourists arriving in Bulgaria, as follows:

  • Green zone – allowed on the territory of the country upon presentation of a valid EU digital COVID certificate for vaccination, disease or testing, or a similar document containing the same data as the EU digital COVID certificate, and in the absence, the person quarantined for 10 days. Quarantine may be lifted on presentation of a negative result from a COVID-19 test performed within 24 hours of entry or by a rapid antigen test.
  • Orange zone – allowed on the territory of the country only upon presentation of a valid EU digital COVID certificate for vaccination, disease or testing, or a similar document containing the same data as the EU digital COVID certificate. A study of COVID-19 with a rapid antigen test was performed in no less than 5 percent of all entrants from orange zone countries.
  • Red zone – not allowed on the territory of the country.

The list of countries by color zone is determined on the basis of information published by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) – for the Member States of the European Union and the European Economic Area (EU and EEA), the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control – Atlanta, USA – for all countries and the spread of “anxiety. The list is reviewed at least once a week and updated on Monday if necessary.

Useful tourist information for those who chose Romania as a holiday destination

In connection with the height of the holiday season, we would like to remind you that from May 27, 2021, restrictions on entry into Romania will be removed and Bulgarian citizens can enter Romania through all border checkpoints without the need to provide a document for negative the result of a PCR or antigen test, a vaccination certificate or a COVID-19 recovery document.

             On  March 27, 2019 at the conference hall of Neptun hotel, the first press conference of the project was held to present the ideas, activities and results that are planned to achieving under the project.

The first event of the project “Friendly Destinations for seniors 55+” was a workshop that took place in the period 28 – 29 of August 2019 at the Madona Inn, Falkovets village. During the workshop, representatives of tourism organizations, local authorities, the media, NGOs and other stakeholders were introduced to the products developed  under the project and with  upcoming activities.

On September 11, 2019, the pilot tour of the project “Friendly destinations for seniors  55 +” will start, as a result of which we will receive feedback from the participants of the quality of the tourist routes proposed under the project in the cross-border region of Vidin-Montana-Dolj .

In the period of 12 – 17 October 2019 a five-day demo tour was held to promote the developed routes for tourists over 55 years to journalists, hoteliers, restaurateurs and tour operators under the “Friendly Destinations for  Seniors + 55” project. The Tour participants had the opportunity to conquer new destinations and enjoy the many surprises along the route, organized by the project team.

In the period of 21 –22 November 2019, Foundation “Phoenix 21st Century”, as lead partner by the project “Friendly Destinations for Seniors + 55 ”, has held a Final Conference in Falkovets to promote the results achieved, the routes developed and promotional materials for tourists over 55 years by the project. At the end of the conference, participants signed a joint cooperation protocol for promotion of the three regions as a tourist destination suitable for tourists 55 +.

In the period of 29 and 30 February 2020, Association for Regional Partnerships for Sustainable Development – Vidin, partner 3 by the project “Friendly Destinations for Seniors + 55 ”, has held a Final Conference in Varshets to promote the results achieved, the routes developed and promotional materials for tourists over 55 years by the project. At the end of the conference, participants signed a joint cooperation protocol for promotion of the three regions as a tourist destination suitable for tourists 55 +.

In the period of 18 – 19 February 2020, ARoTT – Romanian Association for Technology and Innovation Transfer, Craiova, partner 2 by the project “Friendly Destinations for Seniors + 55 ”, has held a Final Conference in Béharka, Dolj County, Romania to promote the results achieved, the routes developed and promotional materials for tourists over 55 years by the project. At the end of the conference, participants signed a joint cooperation protocol for promotion of the three regions as a tourist destination suitable for tourists 55 +.

Association “Regional Partnerships for Sustainable Development – Vidin”, partner 3 by the project “Friendly Destinations for Seniors + 55 ” held the final press conference by the project on 29 January  2020 in the conference hall of the Regional Development Agency and Business Center 2000 – Montana. During the press conference were presented the implemented activities, the results achieved and the developed  within the project tourist routes for tourists 55 +.

ARoTT – Romanian Association for Technology and Innovation Transfer, Craiova, partner 2 by the project “Friendly Destinations for Seniors + 55 ” held the final press conference by the project on 28 February 2020 in the town of Craiova. During the press conference were presented the implemented activities, the results achieved and the developed  within the project tourist routes for tourists 55 +.

The project team by project “Friendly Destinations for Seniors + 55”, reference number ROBG – 436, funded under the Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria Program 2014-2020 presents the tourist routes developed within the project for tourists over 55 years during International Tourist Fair HOLIDAY & SPA EXPO  in Sofia in the period of 13-15 of february 2020. The fair is organized annually in the middle of February under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The team of the Foundation “Phoenix 21st Century”, the Association for Regional Partnerships for Sustainable Development – Vidin, and the Romanian Association for Technology and Innovation Transfer, Craiova, presented the project “Friendly Destinations for Seniors + 55”, reference no. ROBG-436 during the International Tourism Exhibition CULTURAL TOURISM, Veliko Tarnovo in the period of 18 – 20 of April  2019. The International Tourism Exhibition “Cultural Tourism” – Veliko Tarnovo, has been promoting cultural tourism and its importance for Bulgaria as a tourist destination for twelve years.
